So, I've started blogging.
I've been typing tags and all for my knitting-tatting-crochet web pages from the start. I'd prefer all my pages to be under my control. Weblogs are usually applying CSS and I'd say I don't like it very much. I usualy use FireFox, Opera, or sometimes Netscape Navigator (since our customer asks as to use it) and my favorite machine is iBook. In a way, I'm sick and tired of weird-looking pages, sort of. Do I have to use Windows and Internet Explorer? No way.
On the other hand, weblog obviously has a lot of advantages. Easy to update is the one; easy to communicate is another.
So I've decided to give it a try.
BTW, followings are what I am up to.
Using ROWAN wool cotton SH901 and SH953, I'm knitting a scarf from Shadow Knitting by Vivian Hoxbro. Needle size (in Japan) is 4. I call this colourway Piccolo Colour. You may wonder why. Well, just tell you that green is his/her/maybe its skin colour and purple is colour of his/her/its clothes. I've been told that green and purple don't go together well. But this doesn't so bad, isn't it?
And this is a pic from a now-you-can-see-it view. You can see triangles after triangles? At first, this pattern needed time to count and all, but as you knit along, I have that in my mind.
I love ROWAN wool cotton! As we live in the planet with "Greenhouse effect", I'm afraid of the day that we can't stand for wool fabric comes. Some of the heads of states don't care at all, you know. ROWAN wool cotton may be the yarn for this age for it is made of 50% of cotton and 50% of wool.
Anyway, this is one of the best yarns I've ever knitted.
And this is Abhlinn in progress. I'm knitting it with Puppy's MilanoTweed in Col.801 and size 9 (in Japan) needles. This yarn is thinner than the one that is required by the pattern. Also, I'm using rather bigger needles than what is called for on the yarn label. And it makes the fabric soft and somewhat worn for a while.
I usually knit this on the commute train or bus and during the lunchtime.
I have a few project going on besides them. I hope I can make it while it is in winter.
